Addicted to hand-pulled noodles by Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles

SINGAPORE: This is not a new restaurant in Singapore. It simply has grown on me recently and I think I am addicted to it. All I can think of is the al-dente hand-pulled noodles and I want to go back for more. Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles is Halal Certified.

I am curious to find out what is LanZhou Lamien (兰州拉面). After searching the internet, it is intriguing to learn Lanzhou lamian (兰州拉面) or Lanzhou beef noodle soup was created by the Hui people of northwest China during the Tang dynasty. It is one of the oldest beef noodle soups around...WOW! I would have never known.

The menu is very straightforward with prices starting from $7.5 for plain or S$9.9 with meat toppings. Pick the bowl you like, soup or dry and pick the noodle type. There are 8 types of noodles to choose from, thin for those who like their noodles soft or, if you are like me who like noodles to be al-dente, choose the thicker types.

Dry Beef Noodles

The noodles are pulled only after you place the order. The highlights are really the noodles and the chilli; the beef and the vegetable are just garnishes. Amazingly, it is not too oily which you tend to get from the chilli in a dry tossed noodle.

Dry Chicken Noodles with Triangle Noodle

The Dry Chicken Noodles is the same as the Dry Beef Noodles, swapping out the beef and replacing it with pan-grilled chicken. This caters for those who don't eat beef or others who think chicken is healthier. The meat is a tad dry, but the crispness made up for it. I was just grinning from ear to ear when I saw how scrumptious it looks.

Handmade Prawn Dumplings

A serving of handmade prawn dumplings is a must. They are perfect with vinegar. In addition, you have 8 other different choices of small side dishes. The side dishes are pretty normal on their own, but no doubt, they do add the extra dimension to complete the meal.
